Nero Vision 11 instal error

Q:

Hi.

Ive tried to install nero 11 several times recently & keep getting the error message "side by side configuration error" (image attached)

Everything else seems to be working except nero vision,

Any ideas how I can get this part of nero to load ?

A:That error is usually caused by the c++ redistributables not installing correctly or interference with other software.

Had Nero 9 installed previously.

Used the nero removal tool & followed a manual guide to get rid of the rest.

Tried installing c++ redistribution & it appears to be fine.

Do you have v11 installed now?

I have attached an image of the error message on the first post.

I have just tried Kwik Media and that appears to work fine. As do the other applications (only nero vision has an issue).

I have just tried removing all of the C++ Redistributable packs and re-installing only the latest version (version 10, downlaoded from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8328). This has not fixed the issue and I am still receiving the same error message.

A:v11 doesn't use 2010. It needs 2008 and the updates to it. v10 needed the 2005 and, quite possibly, v11 does also.

So you're getting the side by side error with NV or is it the quit working error?

As I asked before, do you have any similar software installed?

Q: I have re-installed C++ redist 2005 and 2008 (plus the service packs that are available) and the error is still appearing.



As for similar software, do you mean other CD burning software? - if you do then I only use Nero.

I haven't received a quit working error, the only error that i am getting is the one attached to the first post, which reads:

"C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero11\Nero Vision\NeroVision.exe

The application has failed to start becuase its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more details."


But I am not sure how to use sxstrace.exe

END: Our forum analyse the problem, find that it's because of the Antivirus or the Problem of some virus.

To solve this Problem

1 uninstall Nero and antivirus
2 reinstall Nero
3 reinstall antivirus

If not work, reinstall the system to repair the system
then install nero then antivirus

It's better that not to use Norton with nero at the same time.
