Nero 11 Video Error Verification
Q: In order to deal with tech support on this issue, I am trying out this poll. If you have Nero Video 11 and about 5 minutes, please try the procedure below. Thanks.

A: I think you already know that I can verify the error. Let's see if anyone else can. I don't think this is one that I send an e-mail to tech support about. You might mention in your other thread (not here), if tech support is trying the same thing, as we discussed.

As you see I have the same issue. I waited and the export was completed (?).
I play the video without problems using WMP.
Attached the log of Video
NeroVideoLog.txt ( 9.31K ) Number of downloads: 22

P.s. I tried doing the same steps but the Step 3 where I choosed PAL instead of NTSC. The Export ends with no error messages. I post the new log too.
NeroVideoLog.txt ( 15.5K ) Number of downloads: 16
A:Thanks to wither and adrianob2 for their input. However, it is apparently not enough for tech support. They repeatedly claim that this is not reproducible! So, if you have 5 minutes, please try this little test and add your results to this thread.
Note: I realize that this is not an earthshattering issue. But, I am also having encoding problems with Nero Kwik Media and Nero Recode that are not so easy to replicate but may be found to be related if only .....
adrianob2:
I appreciate the detailed response you gave. Generally, I have had the same experience if I let the encoding complete. However, one time, the program "experienced a serious error" when I acknowledged the "not very serious error." I had to restart my system after that one.
Q:You're welcome.
I hope the informations in this thread can help T.S. to understand what's happening.
Sometimes different installations give different results, so it's not so easy to reproduce the issue on PC where all problems around were removed.
This is the reason why I try to give all the infos I can.
Best Regards
Adriano
Q:Tech support has apparently denied that this issue is reproducible via a customer service rep and asked that I send them a crash dump. I have attached the instructions they sent if either of you care to provide them with a "crash dump" file. The instructions are for Vista or Windows 7, not Windows XP.
Attached File(s)
crashdump_howto.pdf ( 190.72K ) Number of downloads: 24
A:
I take it you told them I can also reproduce it. I'm not sure what the crash dump file is going to tell them. It doesn't crash- it only gives errors and completes successfully.
End: Expert from our forum.nerobbs.com find that in the log, the audio in this burn is not normal, is a crack music from ipod, Nero doesn't support this pirate format, so resulted in this problem.
[color=#0000ff]On a computer with an up-to-date Nero 11 suite:
1. Open the Nero Video program.
2. Click on "Make Movie or Slide Show."
3. On the Movies Options dialog select "NTSC" and then OK.).
4. On the Video Editing screen, click on the Pictures tab of the My Media section and then drag a picture to the first video frame.
5. Click on the Clock icon and then set the frame duration to 10 seconds: "00:10:00" in the dialog that appears. Click OK.
6. At the bottom of the screen, click on Export.
7. Click "Yes" or "No" to saving.8. On the Export Video screen:
a. Choose "Export video to file".
b. Choose WMV format.
c. Choose the DVD Quality profile.
d. Accept the default output file location or specify one.
e. Click "Export." The encoding process begins.
9. Shortly after encoding begins, the first error occurs (screenshot attached).
The poll didn't quite work out. If you run this test, please indicate "error/no error" in a reply. (OS would help also). Thanks.
P.S. Any help on conducting a poll would be appreciated!
